چکیده

Hierarchical hollow Mg-Al layered double hydroxide microspheres (HHMs) are successfully prepared by hydrothermal treatment in the presence of carbon dots (CDs). Morphology and structure as-prepared samples characterized using XRD, SEM, FT-IR, TEM techniques. The growth process HHMs has been investigated detail, Ostwald ripening mechanism is suggested for hierarchical HHMs. Adsorption isotherms adsorption kinetics congo red (CR) investigated. Langmuir Temkin model more fitted to experimental data CR isotherm adsorption. kinetic obeys pseudo-second-order model. Moreover, thermodynamic parameters (ΔG o , ΔH ΔS ) show that onto an endothermic spontaneous process. could be a potential adsorbent wastewater containing anion dyes.

MgCaFe-layered double hydroxide (LDH) for congo red dye removal in aqueous solution

In this work, the ability of the MgCaFe- Layered double hydroxide (LDH) for congo red (CR) dye removal in aqueous solution was investigated. Various parameters such as initial dye concentrations, temperature, adsorbent dosage, pH effect and agitation rate were examined and optimal conditions (10 mgL-1 of the dye concentration, 25 °C of temperature, 0.5 gL-1 of the adsorbent dosage, pH~7 and 450...

Removal of Congo red from aqueous solutions using nano-Chitosan

It is now recognized that adsorption using low-cost adsorbents is an effective and economic method for water decontamination. Chitosan is derived by deacetylation of the naturally occurring biopolymer chitin which is the second most abundant polysaccharide in the world after cellulose. In this study, the capacity of the chitosan nanoparticles was studied for the removal of the anionic Congo red...

Photocatalytic and adsorption studies on the removal of dye Congo red from wastewater

Many industries such as paper, food, cosmetics, textiles etc. use dye in order to colour their products. The presence of these dyes in water even at very low concentration is highly visible and undesirable. Colour is the first contaminant to be recognised. Photocatalytic technique and adsorption methods offer a good potential to remove colour from wastewater. In the present paper these two meth...
